Mozzarella-Tomato Spaghetti

 

This delicious spaghetti recipe is a great summer recipe.
It's easy and light!

 

This is really one of my favorite recipes and I got it from my mom. She ate this spaghetti when she was in Italy many many years ago.
She loved it so much that she cooked it regularly for us at home.

 

And the last time I made these mozzarella-tomato spaghetti
I thought it is time to share it with you!

Ingredients (serves 5):

 

500g whole-grain spaghetti

2 packages of mozzarella

3 big tomatoes

hand full of basil

salt & pepper

olive oil

dry garlic (omit if you don't like it)

 

First of all you need to take a big kettle with water to boil the spaghetti. Then cut the tomatoes and the mozzarella into pieces, put them in a bowl and season it with salt, pepper and garlic. You can also add more tomatoes or mozzarella if you like. It's really up to you. After that all  you need to do is to add the basil and the olive oil. You can cut the basil leaves into small pieces or just tear it with you fingers for bigger pieces. When the spaghetti is done, strain them and quench it with water shortly, so they won't stick together so much.

 

Finally put the spaghetti and your mozzarella-tomato mix together and enjoy your meal!      By Natascha, August, 1st 2016
