Healthy Vegan Brownies
Delicious and healthy at the same time?
When I heard of recipes like that some time ago I thought that's nonsense. But over the time I got convinced more and more and all of a sudden I am creating my own healthy recipes. And who thought that my family (also my grandmother) would eat my healthy creations?
That's why I can't stop thinking about all the ingredients that could fit together and would make an excellent and healthy dessert out of it.
These brownies are not only healty and delicious, they are also vegan. I hope you enjoy the brownies as much as I did and that you are having fun making them, as it is really no big deal at all.
Ingredients: (6-8 brownies)
2 hands of pitted dates (without core)
1 can of kidney beans (or black beans)
4 tbsp ground almonds
5 tbsp applesauce (without sugar)
5 tbsp rolled oats
5 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp agave syrup
1 tbsp coconut oil
3 tsp baking powder
The first thing to do is to rinse the beans very well. Then put them together with the dates, oats and applesauce in a food processor.
Process until smooth. Then add almonds, cocoa powder, agave syrup, coconut oil and baking powder and process everything again until it is well mixed and smooth.
Put your 'dough' into a greased baking pan and bake the brownies for 15 minutes with 180°C.
Let it cool and prepare your chocolate topping.
For the chocolate topping you need:
8 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tbsp sunflower oil
10 tbsp water
3 tbsp agave syrup
Mix all the ingredients very well and put it on top of the brownies. Wait until the chocolate topping is dry and then cut it into 6 or 8 pieces.
Enjoy and let me know about your brownie experince! I hope everything goes well 🙂
